Alppireppu Blue Ice Kume 32L - Flint Stone

The Kume 32L from Blue Ice redefines what an alpine pack can be—stripping away every unnecessary gram while keeping the load-carrying comfort and feature set that technical climbers demand. At just over a kilogram, it disappears on your back during long approaches, yet the removable aluminum stay and thermoformed back panel transfer weight to your hips when the rope, rack, and ice tools come out. Built from 210D high-tenacity ripstop nylon with a PFC-free DWR, it shrugs off rock abrasion and spindrift alike, and the Flint Stone colourway hides trail grime between washes.

Highlights

• 32-liter capacity in a streamlined, top-loading design with drawcord closure and fixed lid
• Removable aluminum stay and thermoformed back panel for customizable support
• A-frame ski carry, dual ice axe loops, and top compression strap for rope carry
• Removable padded waist belt with gear loops and adjustable sternum strap with whistle
• Hydration-compatible with internal sleeve and port
• Daisy chain on front panel for lashing extra gear

In daily use

On a predawn skin track, the Kume 32L feels balanced and quiet—no flapping straps, no shifting load. The side compression straps cinch down a half-empty pack for the descent, while the lid's external zippered pocket keeps snacks and sunscreen accessible without removing the pack. When the terrain steepens, the A-frame ski carry locks your skis tight, and the dual ice axe loops with aluminum buckles secure tools without snagging on rock. The removable hip belt sheds weight for summit pushes, but keep it on for heavy carries—it has gear loops for quickdraws or cams.
