ROG Strix XG259CMS is a 24.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) Fast IPS gaming monitor designed for high-frame-rate competitive play. It delivers a native 1 ms (GTG) response time, up to 310 Hz refresh rate (OC), 178° viewing angles and a typical brightness of 400 cd/m². The monitor supports VESA mounting, height adjustment and includes a USB Type-C downstream port for versatile connectivity. Its flat, black design fits typical gaming setups while providing clear, low-latency visuals for fast-paced titles.

Advantages

The Fast IPS panel offers rapidly switching liquid crystal elements that reduce smearing and motion blur, enabling a consistent 1 ms GTG response. A 310 Hz (OC) refresh rate combined with the low response time provides exceptionally smooth motion and reduced input lag, which benefits competitive shooters, racing and real-time strategy games. Built-in ergonomic features like height adjustment and VESA compatibility improve setup flexibility, and the USB Type-C downstream port expands modern connection options.

Suitable for

• Competitive FPS and esports gaming

How to use

Place the monitor on a stable surface or mount it using a compatible VESA arm or bracket. Connect the display to your PC or console using the preferred interface and, if needed, use the USB Type-C downstream port for compatible devices. Adjust the monitor height and on-screen settings (refresh rate, resolution, and color presets) in your operating system and GPU control panel to match your performance needs. To achieve the maximum refresh rate, enable the overclock setting in the monitor menu and select the corresponding refresh rate in your graphics driver settings.

Recommendations

For competitive gaming, use a high-performance GPU and set the game resolution to 1920 x 1080 to maintain high frame rates. Enable the monitor overclock option and select 310 Hz (OC) in your system settings only if your hardware and cables support that refresh rate. Regularly update your GPU drivers and calibrate brightness and color to reduce eye strain during long sessions.
