Audio/MIDI-liitäntä YAMAHA URX22C

The YAMAHA URX22C is an audio/MIDI interface for connecting musical instruments and MIDI devices to a computer. It provides stereo audio input and output together with MIDI In/Out ports, enabling recording, playback and low-latency monitoring. The device is designed for compact home studios, practice setups and simple sequencing workflows where reliable audio and MIDI transfer are required.

Advantages

The interface combines analog audio I/O with dedicated MIDI connectivity in a compact, bus-powered unit that supports stable data transfer and straightforward integration with common DAW software. Its low-latency performance and simple routing make it suitable for tracking instruments and monitoring in real time. The device's physical connectors and clear signal paths reduce setup complexity for musicians and producers who need both audio and MIDI in one unit.

How to use

Connect the URX22C to a computer using the USB cable and allow the operating system or DAW to recognize the device. Plug instruments or line sources into the audio inputs and connect studio monitors or headphones to the audio outputs for playback and monitoring. Attach MIDI devices to the MIDI In and MIDI Out ports as required for sending and receiving MIDI messages. Configure sample rate and buffer settings within your DAW to balance latency and CPU usage, and set input/output routing to record and monitor audio and MIDI tracks.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use a direct USB connection to the host computer rather than via an unpowered hub, and adjust buffer size in the DAW to achieve low-latency monitoring while avoiding audio dropouts. Ensure cables are secure and use properly shielded audio and MIDI cables in electrically noisy environments.
