Aurinkokaapeli QOLTEC 53851 4 mm² 100 m musta

QOLTEC Solar Cable 4 mm², 100 m in black is a single-core photovoltaic cable engineered for low-voltage DC connections within solar installations. Designed for outdoor use, the cable features durable insulation and a UV-resistant outer jacket to withstand rooftop exposure and prolonged sunlight. Its 4 mm² conductor cross-section balances current-carrying capacity and flexibility, making it suitable for residential and small commercial PV arrays, inverter connections and battery links.

Advantages

The cable offers reliable electrical conduction for DC circuits with stable resistance and consistent cross-section along its length. Weather-resistant outer sheathing protects against UV radiation and common environmental factors, while flexible construction facilitates routing across panels, through conduits and into junction boxes. The black color provides visual consistency for installations and helps reduce visible strain on rooftop layouts.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting solar panels in rooftop and ground-mounted arrays
• Connecting panels to charge controllers and inverters
• Battery bank links and low-voltage DC circuits in PV systems
• Short to medium runs where 4 mm² conductor meets current and voltage drop requirements

Key specifications

• Conductor cross-section: 4 mm²
• Length: 100 m
• Core type: single-core (single conductor)
• Color: black
• Insulation: durable, weather-resistant with UV protection
• Voltage type: low-voltage DC for photovoltaic systems

How to use

Measure the required run length including allowances for routing and terminations, then cut the cable to size. Strip appropriate insulation lengths to expose the conductor and use compatible solar-rated connectors or MC4-compatible terminals where required. Ensure proper polarity is maintained for DC connections and secure cable entries with gland or conduit fittings to preserve the cable's weather resistance. Follow local electrical codes and the PV system manufacturer’s instructions when making connections to panels, inverters and batteries.

Recommendations

For best long-term performance, avoid sharp bends and mechanical abrasion; support the cable at regular intervals and keep it clear of hot surfaces. Confirm that the 4 mm² conductor is suitable for the expected current and run length to limit voltage drop, and use appropriate overcurrent protection and proper connector types rated for outdoor photovoltaic use.
