Author A-Matrix 26D Emerald Green Matt/musta Matt 2026

Unlike typical hardtails that feel harsh and utilitarian, the A-Matrix 26D pairs a triple-butted alloy frame with a suspension fork and hydraulic disc brakes, delivering a ride that feels far more refined than its price suggests. Built for young riders or smaller adults, it offers confident handling on both pavement and light trails.

Highlights

• Triple butted alloy frame for a light yet durable chassis
• RST Capa T 26 suspension fork with 80mm travel smooths out bumps
• Tektro HD-M276 hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power in all conditions
• Shimano Altus 1x8 drivetrain offers simple, dependable shifting
• Kenda Small Block Eight tires roll fast on hardpack and pavement
• Emerald green matte/black matte finish with a modern, understated look

In daily use

Whether commuting to school, exploring local paths, or tackling weekend singletrack, the A-Matrix 26D is easy to live with. The 1x8 gearing eliminates front derailleur complexity, while the 32T chainring and 12-32T cassette provide a useful range for climbs and descents. The 640mm handlebar offers stable steering, and the Author King Cobra saddle keeps comfort high on longer rides. Hydraulic discs require minimal maintenance and perform consistently in wet weather.
