Black Diamond Erratic -putoamismatto - Envy Green

Highball boulderers pushing their limits above sketchy landings rely on the Black Diamond Erratic Crash Pad to absorb repeated falls without bottoming out. The envy green pad offers a generous 165 x 100 cm landing zone with 10 cm of multi-layer foam, combining a closed-cell top sheet for impact dispersion and an open-cell core for plush absorption. The hinge-style fold keeps the pad compact for transport, while the 1000D nylon shell shrugs off sharp rocks and grit.

Why choose it

The Erratic Crash Pad is built for serious boulderers who demand reliable protection on high-impact landings. The combination of closed and open cell foam ensures both durability and comfort, while the hinge design prevents a weak spot in the middle of the pad. The metal buckles and reinforced straps keep everything secure during transport, and the padded carry system makes the approach to remote boulders more comfortable. The shoe cleaning carpet is a thoughtful touch that helps keep your climbing shoes free of dirt and debris for better grip on the rock.

Ideal use cases

• Highball bouldering
• Sketchy landings
• Remote boulder approaches
• Repeated fall protection

Good to know

The pad's hinge-style fold allows for compact storage and easy carrying, while the 1000D nylon shell provides high abrasion resistance against sharp rocks. The padded shoulder straps and waist belt distribute weight evenly, and the two drag handles make it easy to reposition the pad between attempts. The metal buckles are durable and secure, ensuring the pad stays closed during transport.
