Why choose it

The Momentum is renowned for its comfort and versatility. The engineered knit upper stretches to conform to your foot, reducing hot spots and pressure points. The hook-and-loop closure lets you dial in the fit quickly between climbs, and the flat last means you can wear them for hours without foot fatigue. The NeoFriction rubber provides reliable grip on gym holds and rock, while the soft-flex midsole gives you enough support for edging without sacrificing sensitivity for smearing. This women's version is specifically shaped for a lower-volume foot, ensuring a snug heel and secure fit.

Ideal use cases

• Indoor gym climbing and bouldering
• Sport climbing on moderate routes
• Beginner to intermediate climbers seeking comfort
• Long training sessions where foot comfort is key

Good to know

Black Diamond recommends sizing these shoes close to your street shoe size for a performance fit, or slightly larger for all-day comfort. The unlined knit upper will stretch slightly with use, so keep that in mind when choosing your size. These shoes are not designed for aggressive overhanging climbs or advanced bouldering where a downturned toe is beneficial, but they excel on vertical and slab terrain. The full-length rand adds durability for toe hooking and protects the upper from abrasion. To extend the life of your shoes, air them out after each session and avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or hot cars.
