The CHERRY KC 4500 ERGO is a full-size wired keyboard with a curved ergonomic design that supports a more natural hand and arm position during long typing sessions. It features a 109-key QWERTY layout, an extra-soft memory foam palm rest, a 1.8 m USB cable and an anti-slip base. The keyboard is plug & play and ready to use without additional drivers while offering integrated multimedia functions and optional customization with CHERRY KEYS software.

Advantages

The ergonomic curve and key arrangement reduce strain on shoulders and back by encouraging a relaxed posture. An extra-soft palm rest with memory foam prevents pressure points and increases comfort during extended use. Three adjustable feet allow raising the front of the keyboard for a comfortable working position, including standing use, while rubber feet keep the keyboard stable. The long 1.8 m USB cable provides flexible placement and the plug & play connection requires no extra software. Multimedia functions are accessible via the FN key, and CHERRY KEYS software enables further customization of keys and macros.

Suitable for

  • Office work and data entry where long periods of typing are required
  • Home users who want a more ergonomic desktop setup
  • Workstations with the computer placed under the desk or at a distance (1.8 m cable)
  • Users who need quick multimedia controls and customizable key functions

  • Palm rest: Extra-soft memory foam
  • Adjustable feet: Three-position, rubber anti-slip feet

How to use

Connect the keyboard to a free USB port using the attached 1.8 m cable. The CHERRY KC 4500 ERGO is recognized automatically (plug & play) and is ready for immediate use. Place the keyboard so that your forearms and hands rest naturally on the curved layout and the memory foam palm rest. Use the adjustable feet to set the preferred front height; press and hold FN while using the F-keys to access multimedia functions. Install the optional CHERRY KEYS software on your computer to assign macros, quick access keys, text modules or application shortcuts.

Recommendations

Position the keyboard at a height that keeps your elbows at about a 90° angle and your wrists in a neutral, straight position. Allow a short adaptation period to the ergonomic shape; once accustomed, typing follows the same logical layout as other CHERRY keyboards. Regular short breaks and small stretching exercises help maintain comfort during prolonged use.
