D-Sub-kaapeli ShiverPeaks 25-pin naaras-naaras 1,8 m (malli AK 407)

The D-Sub Cable ShiverPeaks 25-pin Female-to-Female 1.8 m (model AK 407) is a shielded accessory for connecting devices that use a standard 25-pin D-Sub (DB-25) interface. This female-to-female cable is intended for signal transfer between compatible equipment such as legacy serial or parallel interfaces, industrial controllers, audio equipment, and instrumentation devices. The 1.8 m length provides moderate reach for desk- or rack-based connections while maintaining a compact cable run.

Advantages

The cable offers a straightforward connection solution for equipment with DB-25 ports, allowing extension or direct linking without adapter blocks. Its female-to-female configuration simplifies coupling to male-terminated cables or devices. The 1.8 m length balances flexibility and signal integrity for short to medium runs. The construction is suitable for standard data and control signals where a 25-pin D-Sub interface is required.

Suitable for

• Extending or joining DB-25 cables in legacy serial and parallel setups
• Connecting industrial controllers and PLCs with 25-pin D-Sub ports
• Linking audio or instrumentation devices that use DB-25 wiring
• Temporary or permanent connections in test benches and workshop environments

Key specifications

• Connector type: 25-pin D-Sub (female) on both ends
• Cable length: 1.8 m
• Use case: signal/data transfer for serial, parallel, control, audio, or instrumentation interfaces
• Configuration: female-to-female wiring for direct coupling or extension
• Cable form factor: round, moderate-flexibility assembly suitable for desk and rack installations

How to use

Connect each female end to a corresponding male DB-25 connector on the device or to a male-terminated cable. Ensure connectors are fully seated and securing screws are tightened by hand to prevent loosening. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference when possible. For multiple connections, verify signal pinouts and ground continuity before powering equipment to ensure compatibility and correct signal routing.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short to medium-length connections where a standard DB-25 interface is present; avoid long unattended runs that may require shielded, twisted-pair, or differential cabling designed for higher immunity or longer distances. Inspect connectors for damage before use and replace the cable if shielding or connectors appear compromised.
