Deuter Race 16 16 L keltainen unisex pyöräily- ja vuoristovaellusrinkka

The Deuter Race 16 is a top-loading 16 L backpack designed for cycling and mountaineering. Weighing approximately 590 g, the pack combines a compact capacity with features aimed at active use: the breathable Airstripes back system for airflow, a sternum strap and mesh hip fins for added stability, and a unisex cut for broad fit. The bright yellow color improves visibility on trails and roads. Constructed from bluesign® approved fabric made of 100% recycled materials, the pack is climate neutral and produced without PFCs.

Advantages

The Airstripes back system promotes ventilation and a snug fit for technical riding, reducing sweat build-up while maintaining comfort on longer efforts. Lightweight construction keeps the overall burden low without sacrificing durability. Integrated sternum strap and mesh hip fins stabilise the load during dynamic movement. Environmentally conscious materials and manufacturing methods reduce ecological impact while maintaining reliable performance.

Suitable for

• Day mountain biking and trail riding
• Short alpine approaches and fast mountaineering
• Commuting and urban cycling where compact storage is needed
• Outdoor training sessions and endurance rides

How to use

Load the main compartment through the top opening, placing heavier items close to the back for better balance. Adjust shoulder straps and the sternum strap so the pack sits snugly against the upper back; secure the mesh hip fins to reduce sway on technical terrain. Use the compact 16 L volume for essentials such as a hydration bladder or bottle, spare layers, tools and a first-aid kit. Regularly inspect straps and fabric for wear and clean according to the manufacturer’s care instructions to preserve performance and material integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal comfort during cycling, keep the load streamlined and close to the torso. Use lightweight, compressible items to maximise usable space within the 16 L capacity. Rinse off mud and dry the pack after wet rides to maintain the recycled fabric and prolong the lifespan of the backpack.
