Place the thermometer on a flat surface or mount it at eye level on a wall for easy reading; avoid locating the device in direct sunlight or close to heat sources to prevent inaccurate readings. Switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit if the device provides a unit-toggle function, and allow a few minutes after relocation for the sensor to stabilize to the ambient room temperature.

Recommendations

For reliable indoor monitoring, position the thermometer away from windows, radiators and kitchen appliances. Replace the battery when the display dims or shows incorrect readings. Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth; avoid liquids entering the battery compartment.
