Hikvision DS-2CD2343G2-LI2U/SL 2,8 mm IP-turret-kamera, 4 MP, IR, PoE

The Hikvision DS-2CD2343G2-LI2U/SL 2.8mm IP turret camera is a compact 4 MP surveillance camera designed for reliable video monitoring in indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. Featuring a 2.8 mm fixed wide‑angle lens and built‑in infrared illumination, the camera captures high‑resolution color images by day and clear monochrome video at night. The unit supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation and network connectivity, and delivers steady, detailed footage suitable for entrances, corridors and small outdoor areas where discreet, consistent monitoring is required.

Advantages

The camera offers 4 megapixel resolution for improved image detail compared with lower resolution models, enabling better identification of faces and objects. The integrated IR LEDs provide usable night vision without the need for separate lighting. PoE support reduces cabling by carrying power and data over a single Ethernet cable, simplifying setup and lowering installation costs. The turret form factor and fixed 2.8 mm lens provide a wide field of view while maintaining a small, unobtrusive profile.

Suitable for

• Monitoring building entrances and lobbies
• Hallways, corridors and stairwells in commercial or residential properties
• Small outdoor areas and sheltered perimeters such as porches and driveways
• Retail counters and point‑of‑sale oversight where wide coverage is needed

Key specifications

• Image sensor resolution: 4 megapixels
• Lens focal length: 2.8 mm fixed (wide angle)
• Night vision: built‑in infrared illumination for low‑light monitoring
• Network: IP camera with Ethernet connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE)
• Form factor: turret-style dome for ceiling or wall mounting
• Suitable environments: indoor and sheltered outdoor use

How to use

Install the turret camera on a stable wall or ceiling surface using the included mounting hardware, aiming the 2.8 mm lens to cover the intended area. Connect a single Ethernet cable to provide network connectivity and power via PoE from a compatible switch or injector. Configure network settings and video parameters through the camera’s web interface or compatible NVR/software, adjusting exposure, IR settings and resolution to match lighting conditions. Regularly check the camera’s view and clean the dome to maintain image clarity.

Recommendations

Position the camera to avoid direct sunlight or strong backlight for optimal image quality; use shading or adjust angle if necessary. For outdoor installations, mount in a sheltered location to protect from weather exposure. Use PoE switches with adequate power budget and configure motion detection or recording schedules to reduce storage use while ensuring relevant events are captured.
