EcoFlow River 3 Max Portable Power Station

The EcoFlow River 3 Max is a portable power station combining the RIVER 3 Plus unit with an additional battery for a total usable capacity of 572 Wh. It delivers a continuous rated output of 600 W with the ability to boost to 1200 W via X-Boost mode. The unit uses next-generation GaN semiconductors for improved energy efficiency and reduced heat generation, includes an integrated UPS with sub-10 ms switching time, and provides multiple output and input options for flexible charging and device powering. The compact housing and 8 kg weight make the River 3 Max suitable for transport and mobile use.

Advantages

The River 3 Max offers fast AC charging (full charge in approximately 1.5 hours through AC or generator) and supports solar, car and USB-C charging, enabling multi-mode replenishment in diverse environments. Its LiFePO4 battery chemistry provides a long cycle life, rated at around 3000 cycles to 80% capacity, while X-Guard protection manages overcharge, short circuit and overvoltage risks. Low noise operation (~30 dB) and a built-in color display plus EcoFlow app connectivity simplify monitoring and control.

Suitable for

• Powering smartphones, laptops, tablets and small appliances while camping or traveling
• Providing temporary backup power for home devices such as routers, modems, NAS or small refrigerators
• Field work and outdoor events requiring multiple simultaneous outputs
• Charging and operating USB-C devices at high power (up to 140 W) and running AC equipment up to 600 W (1200 W peak)

How to use

Place the River 3 Max on a stable, level surface in a ventilated area. Connect devices to the appropriate outputs (AC, USB-A, USB-C or 12 V car socket) according to their power requirements, ensuring the total draw does not exceed the rated output limits. To charge the unit, use an AC outlet, a compatible solar panel, or a car generator input as available. Use the built-in display or the EcoFlow app (Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth) to monitor state of charge, output load and estimated runtime. When using the UPS function, connect the critical device to the unit and enable UPS mode so it switches to battery power automatically in case of mains failure.

Recommendations

For prolonged lifespan, avoid deep discharges when not necessary and store the unit at moderate temperatures. When using solar charging, connect panels with compatible voltage and power ratings and place panels in direct sunlight for best performance. Observe the specified charging and operating temperature ranges to maintain battery health and ensure reliable operation.
