Lautapeli Pegasus Spiele Pegasus Slay the Spire – yhteistyö-/deckbuilding-korttipeli, perustuu Slay the Spire -peliin (NICSTS60)

Pegasus Slay the Spire is a tabletop adaptation of the digital roguelike deckbuilding game Slay the Spire, published by Pegasus Spiele. The game reproduces core systems from the original title: building and refining a deck of cards, developing a character through encounters, and choosing routes with branching events and elite combats. Designed for solo play or cooperative group sessions, the boxed set provides components and scenarios to recreate card upgrades, relic acquisition and tactical battles on a modular board.

Advantages

The design preserves the deckbuilding loop and progression mechanics, allowing players to draft, upgrade and combine cards to shape distinct strategies. The game supports both single-player runs and cooperative play, enabling shared decision-making and coordinated combat. Components and scenario structure mirror the progression feel of the digital game while offering an analogue table experience with physical cards, tokens and modular encounter setup.

Suitable for

• Fans of the original Slay the Spire who want a physical, tabletop version of runs and encounters
• Players who enjoy deckbuilding, tactical turn-based card combat and character progression
• Solo players seeking a structured roguelike board experience
• Groups looking for cooperative or shared strategic card play

When it may not be suitable

This adaptation focuses on the card-and-board interpretation of the digital mechanics and may not include every feature or balance nuance of the video game. Players expecting a fast party filler may find setup and scenario length longer, especially for complete runs with multiple encounters and upgrades.

Key specifications

• Game type: cooperative and solo deckbuilding card game
• Play modes: solo and cooperative group play
• Main mechanics: deckbuilding, tactical card combat, character progression, modular encounters
• Components: cards, tokens, modular board elements and scenario aids (box contents vary by edition)

Choose a character and starting deck, then follow the run structure to move through branches of encounters, resolve tactical combat with card plays, acquire relics and upgrade cards between encounters. Use tokens and scenario aids to track health, resources and status effects. Games proceed in rounds where players play cards, respond to enemy actions and manage deck composition to progress through the spire.

What to consider before purchase

• Owners should expect a rulebook and scenario components—check the box contents if you require specific inserts or languages
• Playtime can vary widely; consider whether you want short sessions or full run experiences
• Familiarity with deckbuilding and tactical card games improves accessibility but is not strictly required

Recommendations

For best results, play at a table with space for the modular board and card layouts; follow the official setup guide for balanced scenarios and consider solo practice runs to learn character synergies before attempting cooperative campaigns.
