LSI MegaRAID CVM02 Cache Vault -virtamoduuli (93.. sarja)

Traditional RAID controller batteries demand periodic replacement and can fail without warning, but the LSI MegaRAID CVM02 CacheVault Power Module eliminates that risk entirely. Built around maintenance-free supercapacitor technology, this module safeguards the DRAM cache of Broadcom / LSI MegaRAID 93xx series SAS/SATA RAID controllers during unexpected power loss. Instead of relying on a chemical battery that degrades over time, the CacheVault module uses a capacitor pack that charges faster, lasts longer, and requires zero upkeep. Your cached data remains protected for up to 72 hours, giving you ample time to restore power without losing critical write operations.

Highlights

• Flash-based CacheVault protection for MegaRAID 93xx series controllers
• Supercapacitor backup power source – no battery replacement ever needed
• Maintenance-free operation with extended lifespan over traditional BBUs
• Faster charging and discharge cycles for rapid recovery
• Up to 72 hours of data retention after power loss
• RoHS compliant and powered directly by the RAID controller

In daily use

Installing the CVM02 module is straightforward: connect it to the dedicated CacheVault connector on your MegaRAID 93xx controller, secure it with the included mounting bracket, and you are done. The module draws power directly from the controller, so no external supply is needed. In the event of a power outage, the supercapacitor instantly provides energy to flush the controller's DRAM cache to non-volatile flash storage, preserving data integrity and preventing corruption.
