Lyijykynä Faber-Castell CASTELL 9000

The Faber-Castell CASTELL 9000 Design Set contains 12 high-quality graphite pencils in a range from 5B to 5H. First introduced in 1905, the CASTELL 9000 line is known for finely graduated degrees of hardness, bonded leads and a water-based coating. This set is suitable for detailed drawing, sketching and technical work where precise line control and consistent tone are required.

Advantages

The pencils feature fully bonded leads for extra break resistance and smooth, even laydown. The set covers a wide hardness range (5B–5H) so it supports shading, sketching and fine detail work. The water-based coating is environmentally safer and the pencils are available individually or in assorted sets for flexible use.

How to use

Select pencils from softer (B grades) to harder (H grades) depending on the required tone and line weight. Use softer pencils (5B–B) for rich, dark shading and broader strokes; use middle grades (HB–F) for general sketching and writing; use harder pencils (H–5H) for fine lines, precise technical drawing and light construction lines. Sharpen with a quality sharpener and store horizontally to avoid accidental breakage.

Recommendations

For accurate technical work, begin with harder grades to establish construction lines and finish with softer grades for shading and texture. Replace or resharpen leads frequently to maintain precise line quality.
