Maalaa numeroilla -sarja Ravensburger CreArt – Pool Time (maalaussarja, malli 25523)

Ravensburger 25523 is a boxed children’s casting and painting kit intended for ages 12 and up. The set provides materials and step-by-step guidance for moulding and decorating small craft pieces and for completing a paint-by-numbers canvas with the Pool Time motif. Components are arranged to help users learn basic casting techniques, surface preparation and paint application for finished decorative items suitable for home display or classroom projects.

Advantages

The kit combines casting and paint-by-number elements to reduce complexity for beginners: moulding materials and a pre-printed numbered canvas guide users through shape formation and colour placement without requiring advanced drawing skills. Pre-matched acrylic paints and a selection of brushes reduce guesswork about colour choice and stroke size, while an instruction sheet explains sequence, drying and layering so users can achieve a neat result with minimal experience.

Suitable for

• Learning basic casting and painting techniques for hobby crafting.
• After-school or weekend creative activities for teens and older children.
• Small classroom arts-and-crafts projects and demonstrations.
• Creating decorative canvases and small molded objects for home display or gifting.

Key specifications

• Contents: moulding material, pre-printed numbered canvas (Pool Time motif), set of acrylic paints, brushes, instruction sheet.
• Paint type: water-based acrylics suitable for canvas and decorative surfaces.
• Castable material: modelling compound designed for small craft moulds (see packaging for handling details).
• Brush assortment: multiple sizes for detail work and area filling included.
• Recommended age: 12 years and older.

How to use

Prepare a clean, well-lit workspace and protect the surface. Unpack the kit and read the included instructions before starting. For moulding, mix and shape the casting compound according to the directions, press into forms or shape freehand, and allow pieces to set or dry as instructed. For painting, identify numbered areas on the pre-printed canvas and match each number to the corresponding paint. Begin with larger background areas and move to smaller details, rinsing brushes between colours and letting layers dry when recommended. Use the supplied brushes to apply paint evenly and follow any guidance on blending or layering to achieve the intended finish.

Recommendations

Protect clothing and the work surface with newspaper or a drop cloth. Work in a well-ventilated area and follow the safety information on the packaging. Rinse brushes with water after each colour, store unused paints sealed in a cool, dry place, and allow cast pieces and paint layers to fully cure before handling or framing.
