Magneettilastunkerääjä MILWAUKEE GLOB 580 mm

Magnetic Chip Collector MILWAUKEE GLOB 580 mm is a 580 mm magnetic tool designed to collect metal chips and ferrous debris from workbenches, shop floors, and machining areas. The device uses a strong permanent magnet to attract steel and iron shavings, providing hands-free collection and simplified cleanup in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance environments. Its length and magnetic strength make it suitable for reaching narrow spaces and covering larger surface areas compared with smaller magnetic sweepers.

Advantages

The magnetic chip collector offers efficient pickup of small metallic particles without the need for electrical power or batteries. Its robust permanent magnet reduces the time and effort required for manual sweeping or vacuuming of ferrous debris. The tool’s compact, elongated form allows precise positioning along machine beds, under presses, and around fixtures, while the durable housing resists workshop wear. Designed for straightforward operation, it minimizes direct contact with sharp chips and improves workplace cleanliness and safety.

How to use

Position the magnetic collector over the area with metal chips and move it slowly across the surface to allow the permanent magnet to attract debris. For concentrated build-ups, pass the device several times or hold it momentarily in place to ensure larger concentrations adhere. To remove collected material, lift the collector away from the work surface and use a scraper or other non-magnetic tool to clear chips from the housing or magnetic face while keeping fingers protected. Store the collector in a dry place when not in use to maintain its condition.

Recommendations

Use protective gloves when clearing sharp shavings from the magnet and avoid contact with electronic devices or magnetic storage media. Do not use the collector to pick up non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, brass, or plastic debris. Regularly inspect the housing for damage and clean accumulated chips to preserve magnetic performance and safe operation.
