Mammut Togir 2.0 Ice Mountaineering Sport Trad L kiipeilyvaljaat

The Mammut Togir 2.0 Ice Mountaineering Sport Trad L is a versatile, lightweight climbing harness designed for ice climbing, mountaineering, sport and trad routes. The design focuses on reduced weight and comfort: primary gear loops are reinforced for easy clipping while rear loops remain soft to save weight. Two dedicated ice clipper slots and generous rack space make the harness suitable for mixed climbing where efficient equipment organization and quick access are important. Adjustable leg loops and a slim construction provide freedom of movement and make it simple to put on over bulky clothing.

Advantages

The harness combines a low-weight build with targeted reinforcement on the main gear loops to balance durability and minimal mass. The 3-slide side release buckle system allows secure and easy waist adjustment, and the women-specific fit improves comfort and ergonomics on long approaches and multi-pitch routes. Soft rear loops reduce bulk while maintaining adequate attachment points, and the two ice clipper slots integrate tool management without compromising mobility.

Suitable for

• Ice climbing and alpine mountaineering
• Sport climbing on single- and multi-pitch routes
• Traditional (trad) climbing with rack organization
• Mixed routes and long tours where weight and comfort matter

Key specifications

• Size: L (large) with adjustable waistband and leg loops
• Buckle type: 3-slide side release waist adjustment
• Gear loops: reinforced primary gear loops and soft rear gear loops for reduced weight
• Ice tool compatibility: two dedicated ice clipper slots
• Construction: slim profile for freedom of movement and reduced bulk
• Fit: women-specific cut for improved ergonomics

How to use

Put the harness on by stepping into the leg loops and pulling the waistband up to sit comfortably on the hips. Tighten the 3-slide side release buckle on the waist so the harness sits securely above the pelvis and adjust the leg loops for a snug but comfortable fit; adjustable leg loops allow fitting over layers such as insulated trousers. Thread your rope through the belay loop and tie in using an appropriate knot, then clip gear to the reinforced front loops and place tools in the ice clipper slots as needed. Before climbing, perform a full safety check of buckles, adjustments and knots.

Recommendations

Use the reinforced front gear loops for frequently clipped equipment and the soft rear loops for lighter, less frequently accessed items to keep weight low. Adjust leg loops over layers when starting cold-weather routes and re-check fit after the first pitch. Periodically inspect webbing, buckles and stitching for wear, especially after exposure to ice and abrasive rock.
