MIDI-kosketin M-AUDIO HAMMER 88 88 kosketinta USB musta valkoinen

The M-AUDIO HAMMER 88 is an 88-key professional MIDI keyboard with fully weighted hammer-action keys designed to emulate the feel of an acoustic grand piano. USB-powered and class-compliant, this controller connects via USB-MIDI for straightforward integration with DAWs and virtual instruments. The unit includes a dedicated master volume fader, pitch and modulation wheels, assignable up/down buttons, three pedal inputs for Sustain, Expression and Soft, and a 5-pin MIDI output for controlling external hardware. Its dimensions are approximately 1420 mm x 302.26 mm x 127 mm and it weighs about 17.5 kg.

Advantages

The keyboard provides a realistic piano touch thanks to 88 velocity-sensitive, fully-weighted hammer-action keys, enabling nuanced dynamic control for performance and recording. USB connectivity and class-compliant operation simplify setup with computers and compatible iOS devices. Dedicated controls such as the master volume fader, pitch and modulation wheels, assignable buttons and three pedal inputs offer hands-on expressive control without reliance on software menus. The 5-pin MIDI output extends compatibility to external sound modules and hardware synthesizers.

Suitable for

• Studio recording with virtual instruments and DAWs
• Live performance where realistic piano feel is required
• Controlling external MIDI hardware such as synths and sound modules
• Music education and practice for pianists transitioning to digital setups

How to use

Connect the Hammer 88 to your computer or compatible iOS device using a USB cable; the controller is class-compliant and typically requires no additional drivers. Launch your DAW or instrument app, select the Hammer 88 as the MIDI input device, and map controls such as the master volume fader, pitch and modulation wheels as needed. If using external hardware, connect the 5-pin MIDI output to the MIDI input of the target device to transmit MIDI performance data. Attach sustain, expression or soft pedals to their respective inputs to extend performance articulation.

Recommendations

For stable operation, place the keyboard on a sturdy stand rated to support its weight and allow adequate ventilation around the unit. When performing expressive pieces, use the dedicated pedal inputs and modulation controls to achieve dynamic variation. For integration with iOS devices, use an Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit or a compatible interface. Regularly check cable connections and, when transporting, protect the keys and controls with a suitable case or cover.
