Panasonic EX13B valokenno, sarja EX10/EX13, läpivalaisu, kantama 0,5 m (EX13B)

Panasonic EX13B is a single-beam photoelectric sensor from the EX10/EX13 series with a sensing range of 0.5 m. The compact optical sensor detects the presence or absence of objects using a one-way light beam and is designed for short-range detection tasks in industrial automation. The device provides a simple through-beam sensing solution suitable for conveyor lines, machine guards, and small positioning operations where a reliable, space-saving sensor is required.

Advantages

The sensor offers straightforward installation and alignment due to its single-beam design and compact housing. Its short sensing range reduces false detections in close-proximity applications and simplifies system layout. The EX13B delivers consistent detection performance for opaque and reflective surfaces within its specified range, and its robust build supports continuous operation in typical industrial environments.

Suitable for

• Short-range object detection on conveyor belts and feeders
• Presence sensing at machine guards and access points
• Positioning verification for small parts and assemblies
• Simple on/off detection tasks in automation systems

Key specifications

• Sensing principle: single-beam (through-beam) photoelectric detection
• Sensing range: 0.5 m
• Target types: opaque and reflective objects within range
• Form factor: compact inline housing suitable for tight spaces
• Typical mounting: fixed installation on conveyor frames or machine structures

How to use

Mount the emitter and receiver so their optical axes face each other across the detection zone, with a clear line of sight and minimal ambient light interference. Secure both units to stable surfaces at matching height and alignment, then connect wiring according to system supply and output requirements. Adjust alignment while monitoring the sensor output to ensure reliable switching at the intended target position. For best results, test detection with representative parts and within the specified 0.5 m range.

Recommendations

Install the sensor pair in protected locations or use additional shielding if exposure to dust, coolant spray, or direct mechanical impact is expected. Maintain clean optical faces and perform periodic alignment checks. Use suitable mounting brackets and cable routing to prevent vibration and abrasion that could affect long-term reliability.
