Polyfoninen pitch-shifter-octaver-pedaali TC Electronic Sub 'N' Up (malli 000-DDQ00-00010)

TC Electronic Sub 'N' Up is a polyphonic pitch shifter and octaver pedal designed to add octave and sub-octave layers to electric guitar and other instruments. The unit offers clean tracking of single-note and chordal material, enabling natural-sounding pitch shifts and layered tones without altering playing technique. Compact and user-friendly, this pedal suits both live performance and studio applications where additional harmonic depth or low-end reinforcement is required.

Advantages

The Sub 'N' Up provides transparent polyphonic tracking, allowing multiple strings and chords to be tracked with minimal artifacts. Its octaver modes cover both up and down pitch shifting, delivering clean octave up tones and deep sub-octave layers. The pedal includes simple control layout for blend and level adjustment so you can mix shifted signals with the dry tone. Built to fit standard pedalboards, it offers reliable operation for stage use and recording sessions.

Suitable for

• Guitarists who want octave-up or sub-octave textures without switching instruments
• Session musicians and producers seeking additional low-end or harmonic layering
• Live performers requiring stable polyphonic pitch shifting for chords and single lines
• Players adding synth-like or bass-enhancing effects to rhythm and lead parts

Key specifications

• Effect type: polyphonic pitch shifter and octaver
• Signal tracking: polyphonic (notes and chords)
• Output options: mixed dry and shifted signal with independent level control
• Controls: blend/mix and level (and mode selection for octave directions)
• Form factor: compact stompbox suitable for pedalboards
• Power: external DC power supply (standard pedal power requirements)

How to use

Connect the Sub 'N' Up between your instrument and amplifier or effects chain using standard instrument cables. Power the pedal with an appropriate DC power supply. Use the mode control to select octave up, octave down, or sub-octave settings, then adjust the blend or mix control to set the balance between the dry signal and the shifted signal. Set the output level to match your bypassed volume and fine-tune while playing chords and single-note lines to achieve the desired harmonic thickness or low-end reinforcement.

Recommendations

For best results, use the pedal with moderate input dynamics and clear articulation; heavy fuzz or excessively compressed signals may reduce tracking accuracy. When layering sub-octave tones, gradually increase the shifted signal level to maintain clarity in mixes and avoid masking fundamental frequencies.
