Key specifications

• Cutting diameter: 5.2 cm (52 mm)
• Quantity: 1 piece
• Compatibility: for use with standard hole saw arbors and drill chucks
• Intended materials: wood, plastics, composite panels and similar substrates

How to use

Fit the hole saw to a compatible arbor or mandrel and secure it in the drill chuck according to the drill manufacturer’s instructions. Mark the centre point of the required hole, position the pilot bit (if present) and start drilling at low speed to establish the cut. Increase speed as appropriate for the material while maintaining steady pressure and alignment. After cutting, retract the hole saw and clear any debris from the cutter and workpiece. Follow normal safety procedures including eye protection and secure clamping of the workpiece.

Recommendations

Use the hole saw at speeds and feed rates appropriate for the specific material to reduce heat and prevent binder or blade damage. For cleaner edges when cutting brittle or laminated surfaces, apply masking tape over the cut area or back the workpiece to minimize splintering. Inspect the cutting edge before use and replace the tool if excessive wear or damage is present.
