SALICRU SISÄINEN SNMP-KORTTI verkonhallintalisävaruste UPS:lle, malli 663AA002254

Salicru INTERNAL SNMP CARD (model 663AA002254) is an internal network management accessory designed to integrate compatible UPS units into SNMP-based monitoring systems. It provides network connectivity and standardized status reporting so administrators can monitor UPS health, receive alerts and perform remote management tasks from network management platforms.

Advantages

The internal SNMP card enables remote monitoring and control of the UPS without modifying the host device, using standard SNMP protocols for compatibility with many network management systems. It centralizes telemetry and alarm delivery over the network, reducing the need for on-site checks. The accessory supports integration into data center management workflows and allows administrators to receive real-time status updates and alerts about power events, battery status and operational conditions.

Suitable for

• Data centers and server rooms requiring centralized UPS monitoring
• Network environments using SNMP-based management and alerting
• IT administrators who need remote telemetry and status reporting for UPS systems
• Facilities and critical installations that require automated alerts for power events

When it may not be suitable

This internal SNMP card is intended for UPS models that accept the Salicru internal accessory and offer a compatible connector or slot; it may not fit or function with unrelated UPS brands or models lacking the required interface. It is focused on network monitoring and does not replace hardware upgrades or UPS models with different communication standards.

Key specifications

• Function: SNMP network management interface for UPS monitoring and control
• Integration: Designed for internal installation in compatible UPS units
• Protocol support: SNMP for telemetry, status reporting and alarm notifications
• Purpose: Remote monitoring, alerting and basic remote control through network management systems

How to use

Install the card into the dedicated internal slot of a compatible Salicru UPS following the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Connect the UPS to the local network via a network cable and configure IP addressing either statically or via DHCP as supported. Add the UPS as an SNMP-managed device in the network management system, load or map the appropriate MIBs if required, and configure alert thresholds and notification recipients. Verify connectivity and test alarm generation to ensure proper integration.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm physical compatibility with your UPS model and presence of the required internal slot or connector
• Verify that your network management system supports SNMP and can import the UPS MIBs
• Ensure you have access to network configuration (IP/DHCP) and necessary permissions to add devices to the monitoring system
• Consider whether remote monitoring via a network card meets your security and management policies

Recommendations

Place the UPS on a reliable network segment, restrict access to management interfaces using network-level controls, and maintain updated configurations and firmware for both UPS and management platforms. Regularly test alerts and monitor battery status to ensure the SNMP card provides timely notifications for power incidents.
