Why choose it

The S/Lab Alpinway is engineered for alpine environments where every gram and every edge matters. The Gore-Tex membrane keeps feet dry through snow and streams, while the Contagrip® MD outsole provides confident traction on rock, scree, and mixed terrain. The rigid chassis and EnergyCell™+ midsole offer stability under heavy loads, and the protective toe cap, heel cap, and mudguard shield against abrasion and impact. A precision fit locks the foot in place, reducing fatigue on long approaches and technical pitches.

Ideal use cases

• Alpine trekking and mountaineering
• Technical hiking on rocky, exposed trails
• Glacier travel with crampon compatibility (check binding compatibility)
• Multi-day backpacking in rugged terrain

Good to know

Salomon's S/Lab series represents the pinnacle of performance footwear, developed with elite athletes. This boot runs true to size but features a precision fit; consider sizing up if you prefer extra toe room or use thick mountaineering socks. The 10 mm drop and rigid shank promote efficient stride on steep ascents. For best results, pair with a technical gaiter to keep debris out. Regular cleaning and reproofing will extend the life of the Gore-Tex membrane.
