Sarjakaapeli ShiverPeaks BS78024-2 harmaa 1,8 m DB-25

The ShiverPeaks BS78024-2 Grey 1.8m DB-25 serial cable is designed for stable serial data connections between devices with DB-25 ports. With a length of 1.8 metres and a standard DB-25 connector at each end, this grey cable provides a straightforward wired link for data transfer, configuration, or control tasks where a parallel 25-pin interface is required. The construction focuses on reliable signal transmission and mechanical durability to suit repeated use in desktop, rack, or workshop environments.

Advantages

This serial cable offers a standardized DB-25 interface that ensures broad compatibility with legacy and industrial equipment. The 1.8 m length balances flexibility and neat routing without excess slack. The cable jacket and connector strain relief are built to withstand regular handling, reducing the risk of intermittent contacts. The neutral grey colour helps the cable blend into professional environments while remaining easy to identify for maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers and legacy peripherals with DB-25 serial ports
• Serial device configuration and firmware updates
• Industrial control equipment and factory automation interfaces
• Test benches, laboratory equipment and service diagnostics

Key specifications

• Cable type: Serial (DB-25)
• Connector: DB-25, 25-pin D-sub
• Length: 1.8 metres
• Colour: Grey
• Construction: Shielded multi-conductor cable with molded connector ends

How to use

Identify the DB-25 serial ports on both devices and align the connector thumbscrews with the threaded posts on the device receptacles. Insert the DB-25 connector into the port and tighten the thumbscrews by hand to secure the connection. Use the cable to transfer serial data, perform device configuration, or connect to industrial control interfaces. When disconnecting, loosen the thumbscrews before pulling the connector straight out to avoid damaging the connector or port.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and strong electromagnetic sources. Avoid sharp bends and excessive twisting, and secure the cable with cable ties or routing clips to prevent strain on connectors. Inspect the connector contacts periodically for corrosion or damage when used in industrial environments.
