Verkkokaapeli S/CONN Cat 6 S/FTP 1 m

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat 6 S/FTP 1m is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed network connections in home and office environments. The cable uses S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity across Gigabit Ethernet links. It comes with standard RJ-45 connectors and gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent contact quality and corrosion resistance. The 1 meter length provides a compact, tidy connection between devices located close to each other, while the white jacket offers a neutral appearance that blends into most interiors.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding minimizes crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving throughput stability in environments with multiple cables or electronic devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance long-term connectivity by resisting oxidation and ensuring low contact resistance. The Cat 6 specification supports higher frequencies and data rates compared with earlier cable categories, making this cable suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many modern wired networking applications. A 1 m length reduces cable clutter and is convenient for connecting switches, routers, PCs, or patch panels placed near each other.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops, or networked printers to a router or switch
• Short patch connections in home and small office network racks or patch panels
• Establishing a reliable Gigabit Ethernet link between nearby devices
• Environments where reduced interference and better signal integrity are required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individual foil around pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Length: 1 meter
• Jacket color: White

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding ports on your network devices until the latch clicks into place. Ensure both ends are firmly seated to establish a stable connection. For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends or crushing the cable and keep it away from power lines or strong sources of electromagnetic interference. If routing through cable trays or conduits, verify that the cable bend radius remains within recommended limits for Cat 6 cabling.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m Cat 6 S/FTP cable for short, high-quality connections where reduced interference is important. For longer runs within buildings, select appropriately rated Cat 6 or higher cables and follow structured cabling guidelines to preserve signal performance.
