Pora Smart SDS‑MAX 18 mm betonille, malli 18-180340

The Smart SDS‑MAX 18 mm drill bit (model 18-180340) is designed for rotary hammer drilling in concrete, masonry and similar construction materials. With an 18 mm cutting diameter and SDS‑MAX shank compatibility, this bit provides a dedicated solution for creating clean, consistent holes for anchor installation, rebar work and service penetrations. The tool is intended for use with SDS‑MAX rotary hammers and balances durability with straightforward handling for both professional tradespeople and informed DIY users.

Advantages

The bit features an SDS‑MAX shank for secure retention in compatible rotary hammers, ensuring efficient transmission of impact energy and reduced slippage during heavy-duty drilling. Its 18 mm diameter gives predictable hole size for standard anchors and sleeves while the tip geometry is optimized to initiate and maintain an accurate drilling line in concrete and masonry. The design focuses on a compromise between hardness and toughness to withstand repeated hammering and to offer consistent performance over multiple holes.

How to use

Install the drill bit by inserting the SDS‑MAX shank into the rotary hammer chuck until it locks. Select an appropriate hammering mode and drilling speed for the substrate; use rotary hammer (hammer) mode for concrete and masonry. Apply steady axial pressure without forcing the bit; allow the tool's impact action to advance the hole. Withdraw occasionally to clear dust from the hole when drilling deep sections. After use, clean the flutes of accumulated dust and store the bit in a dry place to reduce corrosion risk.

Recommendations

For best results, match the 18 mm diameter to the anchor or sleeve size specified by the anchor manufacturer. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask) and use a dust extraction system or vacuum where possible to reduce silica dust exposure. Do not use the bit in rotary-only mode for hard concrete; use rotary hammer (impact) mode for effective drilling.
