Pora Smart SDS MAX 30 mm betonille, malli 18-300520

Smart SDS MAX 30 mm drill bit (model 18-300520) is designed for drilling concrete with SDS MAX rotary hammers. With a 30 mm diameter and a robust carbide tip, the bit suits core drilling for anchor holes and heavy-duty construction tasks. The shank fits standard SDS MAX chucks, allowing secure connection and efficient power transfer for both professional and DIY applications that require precision and durability when working in masonry and reinforced concrete.

Advantages

The drill bit combines a hardened alloy body with a wear-resistant carbide head to maintain cutting performance under heavy loads. Its SDS MAX shank ensures quick, secure mounting and stable operation in rotary hammers. The 30 mm diameter provides a balance between clearance for anchors and manageable removal of concrete debris, while the optimized flute geometry helps evacuate dust and fragments during drilling, reducing heat build-up and bit wear.

How to use

Secure the drill bit into the SDS MAX chuck of your rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Mark the drilling position, start at low speed to seat the bit, then increase to recommended operating speed and hammer action for concrete. Apply steady pressure without forcing the bit; allow the tool and carbide tip to cut progressively. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and debris, and cool the bit if necessary by pausing to prevent overheating.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, and dust mask. For reinforced concrete, use a drill bit inspection routine: check the carbide tip for wear and replace the bit when cutting performance declines. Match drill speed and hammer settings to the rotary hammer manufacturer's guidance and consider using water extraction or dust collection on prolonged drilling to reduce airborne dust.
