SSD-kotelo Intel CYP25HSCARRIER 2,5" musta harmaa hot-swap

The Intel CYP25HSCARRIER 2.5" Black Grey Hot-swap is a single-bay external enclosure designed to accept one 2.5-inch SATA drive. It provides a compact housing with a black and grey finish and a hot-swap mechanism that enables quick insertion and removal of a drive without powering down the host system. The enclosure is intended to simplify drive access for maintenance, data transfer, or temporary storage expansion while maintaining a straightforward physical interface and tool-less operation in many environments.

Advantages

The enclosure offers hot-swap capability to minimize system downtime and streamline drive changes. Its compact 2.5" form factor supports common laptop and SSD storage devices, conserving space while providing a stable connection. The black and grey design provides a neutral, professional appearance suitable for various setups. The build focuses on easy access and reliable mechanical retention to keep the drive securely in place during operation.

Suitable for

• Quick replacement or upgrade of 2.5" SATA drives in desktops or servers that support hot-swap bays
• Temporary data transfer, cloning, or backup tasks where drives need to be inserted and removed frequently
• IT maintenance and troubleshooting to swap drives without shutting down systems
• Portable storage usage when a single 2.5" drive needs to be transported or accessed externally

Key specifications

• Compatible drive form factor: 2.5-inch SATA storage devices (HDD and SSD)
• Drive bays: single-bay enclosure supporting one drive
• Hot-swap support: allows drive insertion/removal while system remains powered (host must support hot-swap)
• Exterior finish: black and grey color scheme
• Mounting and retention: mechanical mechanism for secure drive seating during use

How to use

Power off the drive bay or follow the host system manufacturer’s hot-swap procedure if operating while powered. Insert a compatible 2.5" SATA drive into the enclosure until it seats fully in the connector and engages the retention mechanism. If the host supports hot-swap, the drive can be recognized by the system without rebooting; otherwise, ensure the system is powered down before connecting. To remove the drive, follow the host’s safe removal procedure, then release the retention and slide the drive out. Ensure proper handling of the storage device to avoid electrostatic discharge or physical damage.

Recommendations

Use the enclosure with drives that match the 2.5" SATA form factor and ensure the host system explicitly supports hot-swap if you plan to change drives while powered. For data integrity, follow operating system guidelines for safe removal and avoid disconnecting during active read/write operations. Keep the enclosure in a stable, ventilated location and handle drives with care during insertion and removal.
