SSD-kotelo Lexar E6 hopea M.2, PCIe, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s), USB-C, alumiini, yksittäinen M.2 jopa 4 TB

The Lexar E6 Silver M.2 SSD enclosure is an external housing designed for a single M.2 PCIe SSD with support for capacities up to 4 TB. It connects to host devices via a USB Type-C port using USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s), enabling high-speed file transfers and direct access to NVMe-compatible drives. The enclosure's aluminium body in a silver finish provides lightweight durability while helping to dissipate heat during sustained operation.

Advantages

This enclosure supports PCIe M.2 SSDs and leverages USB 3.2 Gen 2 bandwidth to deliver fast read and write performance when paired with compatible NVMe drives and host ports. The USB-C connector provides reversible plug orientation and broad compatibility with modern laptops and desktops. The aluminium construction combines a low weight of 0.059 kg with improved thermal conduction compared with plastic enclosures. Its compact form factor makes it convenient for portable storage expansion, backups and transferring large media libraries.

Suitable for

• Expanding portable storage using an M.2 PCIe (NVMe) SSD
• Fast backups and system imaging of laptops and desktops
• Transferring large files and media libraries between devices
• Using an internal M.2 SSD externally for troubleshooting or cloning

Key specifications

• Supported drive form factor: M.2 (single drive)
• Supported drive interface: PCI Express (NVMe)
• Maximum supported capacity: up to 4 TB
• Host interface: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s)
• Connector type: USB Type-C
• Material: aluminium
• Colour: silver
• Weight: 0.059 kg

How to use

Open the enclosure according to the included instructions, insert a compatible M.2 PCIe SSD into the M.2 slot and secure it with the supplied screw or fastening mechanism. Close the enclosure, connect the USB Type-C cable from the enclosure to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 capable port on your computer or device, and wait for the operating system to recognise the drive. If necessary, initialise or format the drive in the host operating system before first use. For safe removal, unmount or eject the drive in the OS before disconnecting the cable.

Recommendations

Use a USB 3.2 Gen 2 or higher host port and a high-quality USB-C cable to achieve optimal transfer speeds. Ensure the installed M.2 SSD is a PCIe (NVMe) type to match the enclosure interface. Allow adequate airflow around the aluminium body during heavy workloads to aid heat dissipation and avoid prolonged operation on insulating surfaces that trap heat.
