Toraf Matador Spinacia oleracea L. (spinach) — vegetable seed variety supplied in a packet designed for home gardeners and allotment cultivation. These seeds produce edible spinach leaves suitable for fresh salads, cooked dishes and freezing. The packet contains a quantity intended for small-scale cultivation; sowing time, planting depth and spacing depend on regional growing seasons and should be followed as indicated on the packet and local guidance.

Advantages

Toraf Matador spinach seeds are selected for consistent germination and predictable leaf development under typical garden conditions. Plants form tender, edible leaves with a texture suitable for raw consumption and thermal processing. The seed packet format is convenient for hobby gardeners and allows staged sowing across the season to extend harvest periods.

Suitable for

• Home vegetable gardens
• Allotments and community plots
• Small-scale seasonal production for fresh markets or family use
• Succession sowing to provide continuous harvests

Key specifications

• Species: Spinacia oleracea L., common spinach
• Form: open-pollinated vegetable seed
• Intended use: fresh consumption, cooking, freezing
• Packaging: small seed packet for hobby cultivation
• Growing requirements: cool-season leafy crop, prefers fertile, well-drained soil

How to use

Sow seeds directly in prepared beds according to regional planting times for spinach: typically in early spring or late summer for autumn harvests. Prepare a fine, firm seedbed, sow seeds at the depth and spacing recommended on the packet, then cover lightly with soil and water gently. Keep soil consistently moist until seedlings establish. Thin plants to the recommended spacing to allow leaf development and reduce competition. Harvest outer leaves regularly or cut whole plants depending on desired use.

Recommendations

Follow local climate calendars for optimal sowing windows. For best results, rotate planting locations yearly to reduce disease pressure and maintain soil fertility by incorporating compost or balanced fertilizer before sowing.
