Turvaköysi 3M Edge PROTECTA AE5220REK/SE, 2 m pituus, enimmäiskuormitus 100 kg

3M Edge PROTECTA AE5220REK/SE is a 2 m safety lanyard engineered for use as a connector between a full-body harness and an anchor point in fall-arrest systems. Designed for personal fall protection, the lanyard helps limit fall distance and transfer impact forces to the designated energy-absorbing components. It is suitable for various work-at-height environments including construction, maintenance and industrial applications where certified fall-arrest equipment is required.

Advantages

The lanyard incorporates a durable webbing and an integrated energy-absorbing element to reduce shock loads transmitted to the user during a fall. Corrosion-resistant connectors and reinforced stitching provide reliable strength and long service life under normal working conditions. At 2 m length and rated for a maximum working load of 100 kg, the product offers a balance of reach and compactness suitable for many common anchorage configurations. The design follows applicable safety standards for fall-arrest connectors and is intended for use with compatible full-body harnesses and certified anchor points.

How to use

Attach one end of the lanyard to the designated dorsal or sternal attachment point of a compatible full-body harness and connect the other end to a certified anchor point capable of withstanding fall-arrest loads. Before each use, inspect the webbing, stitching and connectors for signs of wear, cuts, fraying, corrosion or deformation. Ensure the energy-absorbing element is intact and unobstructed. Use the shortest practical lanyard length and appropriate anchor location to minimize potential fall distance and avoid swing hazards. After any fall event, remove the lanyard from service and replace it according to manufacturer instructions.

Recommendations

Use this lanyard only as part of a complete personal fall-arrest system including a certified full-body harness and suitable anchor. Comply with applicable local regulations and employer safety procedures. Regularly inspect and maintain the lanyard, store it away from chemicals, sharp edges and direct sunlight when not in use, and follow manufacturer guidance for service life and disposal.
