Verkkokortti BROADCOM BCM95720A2003AC 2x1G RJ45 Dual-Port 1 Gbit/s

BROADCOM BCM95720A2003AC is a dual-port 1Gbps network interface card that provides two RJ45 Ethernet ports for wired connectivity. Intended for servers and workstations, the card supports standard Gigabit Ethernet speeds and enables link redundancy and aggregated throughput in environments that require stable wired network links. The compact PCIe form factor and industry-standard RJ45 connectors make it compatible with common server chassis and motherboard layouts, offering a straightforward upgrade path for network performance and reliability.

Advantages

The card offers two independent 1 Gbps ports, enabling link aggregation or failover to improve bandwidth and resilience. Broadcom chipset compatibility ensures stable driver support and interoperability with mainstream operating systems commonly used in data centers and virtualization hosts. Low-profile design and standard power characteristics reduce integration complexity, while hardware-based offload features help lower host CPU utilization during high network load.

Key specifications

• Interface: dual RJ45 Ethernet ports
• Data rate: 1 Gbps per port (full duplex)
• Connectivity: IEEE 802.3ab/802.3u compatible
• Form factor: PCIe add-in card (standard/low-profile compatible)
• Features: link aggregation, failover support, hardware offload capabilities
• Operating environment: server and workstation use

How to use

Power down the host system and install the card into an available PCIe slot following the server or workstation manufacturer’s instructions. Secure the bracket and connect standard CAT5e/CAT6 Ethernet cables to the RJ45 ports. Boot the system and verify that the operating system detects the adapter; install vendor or operating system drivers if required. Configure network settings, link aggregation, or failover policies through the host network management tools or switch configuration as appropriate for your environment.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use quality CAT5e or CAT6 cables and ensure switch ports are configured for matching speed and duplex settings. When deploying in virtualized environments, configure virtual switch and NIC teaming settings to distribute traffic and provide redundancy. Keep firmware and drivers up to date to maintain security and compatibility.
