Viila C.K Tools T0080 8 latta viila, toinen hienous, 200 mm

The C.K Tools T0080 8 is an 8 (200 mm) flat second-cut file designed for controlled material removal and surface shaping in metalworking and woodworking. Manufactured by C.K, a company with over a century of experience in hand tools, this file combines a second-cut tooth pattern for finer finishes with durable construction intended for regular workshop use.

Advantages

The second-cut tooth pattern gives a balance between efficient stock removal and a smoother finish compared to single-cut files. Its flat profile is suitable for planar surfaces and edge work, while the 200 mm length provides reach and leverage for common filing tasks. Built to C.K's quality standards, the file offers consistent performance and long service life when used appropriately.

How to use

Secure the workpiece firmly in a vice or clamp before filing. Hold the file with one hand on the handle and the other near the tip to guide straight strokes. Use even forward strokes applying moderate pressure; lift the file on the return stroke to avoid dulling the teeth. Progress from coarse to finer filing as needed to achieve the desired fit and finish. Clean the file teeth regularly with a file card to maintain cutting efficiency.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Select the second-cut flat file for tasks requiring both material removal and a relatively smooth finish; avoid using it on hardened steel or tasks outside its intended metal/wood applications.
