Virtalähde Extralink 48V 144W 3A virtapistoke 5,5/2,1 mm

The Extralink 48V 144W 3A power supply with a 5.5/2.1mm jack is an indoor power adapter designed for PoE injector solutions and direct powering of network equipment. It delivers 48 volts DC at up to 3 amperes (144 watts) through a standard 5.5/2.1mm barrel connector. The compact black casing and passive cooling make it suitable for installation in equipment rooms, cabinets or near network devices where quiet and reliable operation is required. A front LED indicates normal operation and built-in protections respond to short-circuit or overload events by cutting output and automatically restoring voltage once the fault is cleared.

Advantages

This Extralink power supply provides a stable 48V DC output suitable for many PoE injector setups and compatible network devices. Its passive cooling design ensures silent operation without moving parts, and the compact form factor simplifies mounting and placement in tight spaces. Integrated protection against short-circuit and overload conditions minimizes risk to connected equipment by disabling the output during faults and automatically resuming operation when conditions return to normal. The included LED offers a simple visual status indicator for quick verification of proper function.

How to use

Connect the power supply to a 230V AC mains outlet using the appropriate power cable, then insert the 5.5/2.1mm barrel plug into the device or PoE injector input that requires 48V DC. Confirm the LED indicator shows normal operation. If using the unit with a PoE injector, follow the injector manufacturer’s wiring and grounding instructions to ensure proper power delivery to the powered device. In case of an overload or short circuit the adapter will cut output automatically and restore voltage when the fault is cleared; inspect cabling and connected equipment before resetting power.

Recommendations

Install the power supply in a dry, well-ventilated indoor location away from direct heat sources and moisture. Verify device compatibility with 48V/3A power and the 5.5/2.1mm jack before connection. Use appropriate cabling and, where applicable, surge protection for network equipment to reduce the risk of damage from electrical disturbances.
