4-pin-PWM-jatkokaapeli Kolink PGW-AC-KOL-162 30 cm valkoinen

The Kolink 4-pin PWM Extension Cable (30 cm, white) extends the reach of four-pin PWM fan or device connectors while preserving full PWM speed control. This extension cable is intended for PC builds that require additional cable length to position case fans, CPU coolers, or other PWM-equipped components without altering signal integrity. The cable features a standard 4-pin PWM connector that maintains the power, ground, tachometer, and PWM control lines for reliable operation with motherboard fan headers and PWM controllers.

Advantages

The extension cable provides a reliable electrical connection over an extra 30 cm length without modifying the original connectors or wiring of the connected devices. Its white insulation offers a clean visual match for light-coloured builds and simplifies cable routing in tight spaces. The plug-and-play design requires no tools or soldering, and the standard 4-pin footprint ensures compatibility with most PWM fans and motherboard headers that support speed regulation.

Suitable for

• Extending the reach of PWM case fans to motherboard headers positioned away from the fan mounting.
• Connecting PWM-equipped CPU or GPU cooling fans to remote fan controllers.
• Temporary or permanent installations where original fan cables are too short for desired routing.
• Tidy cable management in builds that prioritise aesthetics and organised airflow paths.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 30 cm (approximate)
• Connector type: 4-pin PWM female-to-male extension
• Color: white insulation
• Conductors: four-core wiring for power, ground, tachometer (RPM), and PWM control
• Compatibility: standard 4-pin PWM fans and motherboard fan headers

How to use

Align the 4-pin connector of the extension cable with the 4-pin header on the fan or motherboard, ensuring the connector key and pin orientation match. Firmly insert the male end into the female connector of the device, and connect the opposite end to the motherboard fan header or fan controller. Confirm secure seating to avoid intermittent connections, and route the cable to prevent obstruction of airflow or contact with moving parts. No drivers or configuration changes are required for basic fan speed control when connected to a PWM-capable header.

Recommendations

Use this cable for extending short fan leads or reaching fan headers in larger cases; avoid routing the cable near high-voltage lines or sharp edges. Inspect connectors for secure fit after installation and periodically during maintenance. For optimal results, combine with proper cable management ties and avoid excessive bending at connector junctions to preserve signal integrity.
