ACT 15 metriä monimuoto 50/125 OM4 polariteetti B kuitu-patchkaapeli MTP-liittimillä

The ACT Multimode 50/125 OM4 fiber patch cable, 15 meters long with MTP female connectors in Polarity B configuration, is designed for high-speed short-reach optical links. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM4 grade multimode fiber, this cable supports enhanced bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion compared with lower OM ratings, making it suitable for dense cabling environments and data center interconnects.

Advantages

This multimode OM4 cable provides higher modal bandwidth for greater throughput on short-reach links and improved signal integrity over conventional multimode variants. The MTP female connectors enable easy integration with MPO/MTP-based trunking and harness systems. Polarity B wiring minimizes the need for additional rewiring when connecting equipment that uses cross-over mapping, ensuring compatibility across a range of network hardware.

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Length: 15 m
• Connector type: MTP female (MPO style)
• Polarity: B (cross-over mapping)
• Typical applications: data center links, high-density cabling

How to use

Install the cable by aligning the keyed MTP female connectors with the mating MPO/MTP adapter or port, ensuring the connector key orientation matches the intended polarity for the link. Route the 15 m cable through cable management pathways or trays to avoid tight bends and excessive strain; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fiber. When connecting equipment, verify link mapping and perform insertion loss and continuity tests with appropriate optical test equipment.

Recommendations

Avoid repeated connector mating and keep connector endfaces clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools. Store spare cable lengths coiled without sharp bends. For best performance in data center environments, pair OM4 multimode patching with compatible transceivers and maintain regular testing of optical loss and polarity to ensure reliable operation.
