ACT punainen 1 m LSZH U/UTP CAT6 Datacenter Slimline -verkkokaapeli ilman salpaa RJ45-liittimillä

The ACT Red 1 meter LSZH U/UTP CAT6 slimline patch cable is designed for high-speed data transmission in space-constrained installations such as data centers and network cabinets. Its reduced diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) and lower bending radius compared with regular CAT6 patch cords improve airflow and cable management. The cable uses U/UTP construction, RJ-45 connectors with gold plating, and LSZH jacket material for low smoke and halogen-free properties.

Advantages

The slimline CAT6 design reduces cable bulk and improves airflow inside racks and cabinets while maintaining compatibility with standard RJ-45 ports. The LSZH jacket minimizes smoke and corrosive gases in case of fire. Using 28 AWG conductors allows a smaller diameter but can increase attenuation at higher frequencies, which is addressed by recommending shorter permanent link lengths. The cable is suitable for typical CAT6 applications and offers straightforward installation in dense patching environments.

How to use

Install the patch cable between network equipment and patch panels or switches using standard RJ-45 ports. Route the slimline cable through cable management trays and panels, taking advantage of the reduced diameter to improve density and airflow. When designing permanent links, account for the higher attenuation of 28 AWG slimline cables by keeping link lengths shorter than those used with standard 24 AWG patch cords. Follow usual practices for strain relief and connector seating to ensure reliable connections.

Recommendations

For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 slimline cables to help control temperature rise in the bundle; current guidance (ANSI TSB-184-A) aims to keep the centre cable temperature increase below 15 °C above ambient. Consider shorter permanent link lengths and verify channel performance when using 28 AWG slimline CAT6 cables in high-frequency or PoE applications.
