How to use

Install the patch cable between network equipment and patch panels or switches using standard RJ45 ports. ACT advises shorter permanent link lengths compared with standard 24 AWG patchcords to compensate for the higher attenuation of 28 AWG conductors. In Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) applications, limit bundle sizes (recommendation: maximum 24 cables) to help control temperature rise; follow relevant standards such as ANSI TSB-184-A which limits temperature increase for the centre cable in a bundle to less than 15 °C above ambient.
