ACT violetti 0,5 m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter-slimline-patchkaapeli, lukituskielekkeen suojaus ja RJ45-liittimet

The ACT Purple 0.5m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A Patch Cable Snagless RJ45 is a slimline 0.5 metre Ethernet patch cord designed for data centre and network cabinet use. Its reduced diameter and U/FTP shielding deliver improved airflow, lower interference and compatibility with high-speed CAT6A installations. The cable features snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket for safer deployment in confined spaces.

Advantages

The slimline construction (approx. 3.8 mm diameter) reduces bending radius and frees rack space compared with standard CAT6A patch cords, helping to improve cabinet airflow. U/FTP shielding minimises crosstalk and external interference. Snagless RJ45 plugs protect the connector clip during installation. The LSZH jacket lowers toxic and corrosive gas emission in case of fire. Gold-plated contacts ensure reliable signal transfer and corrosion resistance.

Suitable for

• Data centre patch panels and top-of-rack connections
• Network cabinets and crowded cable channels
• High-speed CAT6A Ethernet links (short patch runs)
• Environments requiring LSZH-rated cabling

Key specifications

• Length: 0.5 m
• Category: CAT6A U/FTP
• Diameter: slimline, approx. 3.8 mm
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, snagless
• Contacts: gold-plated

How to use

Connect the RJ45 plug to the network device and the opposite plug to the patch panel, switch or router. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the clip clicks. Route the slimline cable through the rack or cable channel, avoiding sharp bends tighter than the cable’s bending radius. For best performance, keep patch runs short and avoid tight bundling that could increase signal attenuation.

Recommendations

ISO/IEC and TIA standards typically specify 22–26 AWG for patch cords; this slimline product uses a smaller conductor diameter (similar to 32 AWG designs), which may cause higher attenuation at higher frequencies. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, ACT advises limiting bundles to a maximum of 24 cables to prevent excessive temperature rise. ANSI TSB-184-A recommends that the center cable temperature increase stay below 15 °C above ambient.
