Adapteri ShiverPeaks 85321 – IEC-liitin - F-liitin adapteri TV- ja HF-laitteisiin

The ShiverPeaks 85321 adapter converts an IEC (female) connection to an F (male) connector, enabling compatibility between devices with different coaxial terminations. Designed for TV tuners, set-top boxes, cable modems and antenna systems, this compact passive adapter provides a mechanical interface for RF signal transmission in home and professional AV setups. It is intended to join IEC-type coaxial cable ends to F-type inputs without the need for re-terminating cables.

Advantages

This adapter offers a straightforward, space-saving solution to adapt IEC female terminations to F male connectors. Its passive design requires no power and preserves the existing cable and device terminations. The compact form factor simplifies installations in tight spaces behind equipment or inside distribution boxes. The adapter supports common RF coaxial interconnection needs, reducing the need for replacing cables or devices when connecting legacy equipment to F-type inputs.

Suitable for

• Connecting TVs, set-top boxes and DVB tuners with IEC outputs to devices with F-type inputs
• Joining antenna leads and wall outlets to cable modems or satellite/cable receivers
• Temporary or permanent connections in home AV and professional RF distribution setups

Key specifications

• Connector type: IEC female to F male
• Function: Passive mechanical adapter for RF coaxial connections
• Application: TV, set-top box, cable modem and antenna signal interfacing
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter suitable for confined installation spaces

How to use

Attach the IEC female side of the adapter to the IEC male coaxial outlet or cable termination by pushing it onto the connector until seated. Screw the F male connector into the corresponding F-type socket on the receiving device (for example, a set-top box or cable modem) until hand-tight. Ensure connections are secure and that cables are supported to prevent strain on the adapter. No tools or power are required for normal use; if necessary, use a suitable wrench briefly to ensure a snug fit without over-tightening.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry indoor environments and avoid exposing it to excessive moisture or mechanical strain. For best RF performance, maintain solid contact at both connectors and avoid loose or corroded cable ends. If signal loss or interference is observed, check cable condition and terminations before replacing the adapter.
