Adapteri USB Type-A-uros 2,5 Gigabit LAN DeLOCK 66646

The DeLOCK Adapter USB Type-A male to 2.5 Gigabit LAN (model 66646) expands a PC or laptop with one network interface via a USB Type-A port. It uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection and an RJ45 port to deliver reliable wired networking up to 2.5 Gbps. The adapter has a compact design with a 0.16 m cable and comes in black, making it suitable for portable setups and desktop use.

Advantages

This adapter supports NBASE-T technology to provide higher-than-gigabit speeds (up to 2.5 Gbps) over conventional Ethernet cables and automatically selects the best available transmission rate. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface ensures sufficient bandwidth for fast data transfer, while the compact form factor and short cable length improve portability and minimise desk clutter.

Suitable for

• Adding a wired network port to laptops without an Ethernet jack
• Upgrading desktop or mobile systems to 2.5 Gigabit network speeds
• Use with routers, switches and network infrastructures supporting 2.5G or 1G

Key specifications

• Connector 1: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type-A male)
• Connector 2: RJ45 (2.5 Gigabit LAN)
• Maximum speed: up to 2.5 Gbps (NBASE-T)
• Cable length: 0.16 m
• Colour: Black
• Brand: DELOCK, MPN: 66646, EAN: 4043619666461

How to use

Plug the USB Type-A connector into an available USB 3.2 Gen 1 port on your PC or laptop. Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port and to your network device (router, switch or modem). The adapter will negotiate the optimal link speed automatically via NBASE-T; install drivers if the operating system does not recognise the device automatically.

Recommendations

For best performance, use Cat5e or higher-quality Ethernet cables and connect to network equipment that supports 2.5G or 1G speeds. Avoid excessive bending of the short cable and ensure the host USB port provides USB 3.2 Gen 1 bandwidth for maximum throughput.
