Adapteri USB Type-C Akasa AK-CBCA23-18BK

The Akasa USB Type-C 2-In-1 Adapter (USB Type-C Akasa AK-CBCA23-18BK) is a compact aluminum adapter that provides HDMI and VGA video outputs from a single USB Type-C host connection. Designed for simple connection to external displays, the adapter supports passive cooling through its metal housing and is small enough for portable use. Its dimensions are approximately 40 mm wide, 62 mm deep and 15 mm high, and the integrated cable length is 0.18 m. The adapter is compatible with a range of operating systems including Windows 10, 8, 7, XP and ChromeOS, enabling legacy and modern display connections from USB Type-C enabled devices.

Advantages

The adapter combines two common video outputs in one lightweight aluminum enclosure, offering both HDMI and VGA connectivity without requiring separate dongles. Its metal body helps dissipate heat passively, reducing the need for active cooling and maintaining stable performance during extended use. Small physical size and low weight make it easy to carry with a laptop or tablet, and plug-and-play compatibility with major operating systems simplifies setup for typical user scenarios.

Suitable for

• Connecting a laptop or tablet with USB Type-C to an HDMI monitor or projector
• Connecting USB Type-C devices to legacy VGA displays in meeting rooms or classrooms
• Portable use for business travel, presentations and on-site troubleshooting
• Temporary dual-environment setups where either HDMI or VGA output may be required

How to use

Connect the adapter's USB Type-C plug to the host device with a compatible USB Type-C port. Then connect the desired display cable to either the HDMI or VGA output on the adapter and to the external monitor or projector. The host device should detect the external display automatically; if necessary, configure display mode and resolution in the operating system display settings. Use HDMI for digital video signals and VGA for analog-compatible displays. Avoid forcing connectors and ensure secure seating of cables to maintain a stable signal.

Recommendations

For best results, use a quality HDMI cable for high-resolution digital video and a well-shielded VGA cable for legacy analog displays. Keep the adapter in a ventilated environment to allow passive cooling through the aluminium housing. When moving between different display types, disconnect cables before storing to prevent strain on the integrated cable.
