Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli CBO BlueOptics QSFP28 BO282803L20M 100G 20 m

Active Optical Cable CBO BlueOptics QSFP28 BO282803L20M 100G 20 m is a factory-terminated QSFP28 AOC designed to provide 100 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over a 20-metre OM4-compatible fiber link. The cable integrates QSFP28 transceivers and optical fiber in a single assembly to deliver high-speed, low-latency interconnects for data centre topologies, server-to-switch connections and high-performance computing environments. The plug-and-play QSFP28 form factor ensures compatibility with switches, network interface cards and routers that support 100G QSFP28 ports, simplifying deployment without separate transceiver modules.

Advantages

This BlueOptics QSFP28 AOC offers reduced power consumption compared with equivalent electrical copper assemblies and eliminates the need for separate hot-pluggable transceivers. Because it uses OM4-compatible multimode optical fibre, it supports stable 100G links at the specified 20 m distance while maintaining low latency and signal integrity. The integrated design reduces rack space and cabling complexity, and factory termination provides reliable optical alignment and consistent performance out of the box.

Suitable for

• Data centre switch-to-switch uplinks and spine-leaf architectures
• Server-to-switch connections in high-density racks
• High-performance computing clusters and storage fabric interconnects
• Network equipment test labs and short-reach 100G links

Key specifications

• Form factor: QSFP28 active optical cable
• Nominal data rate: 100 Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 20 metres
• Fiber type: OM4-compatible multimode optical fibre
• Connector: QSFP28 integrated plug and receptacle
• Latency: low-latency optical interconnect
• Power profile: lower power consumption compared with equivalent electrical copper links

How to use

Install the QSFP28 AOC by inserting each QSFP28 connector into the matching port on the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by the equipment vendor if inserting into live systems. Verify that both ends are seated and that the host equipment recognises a 100G link; monitor link status in the device management interface. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; the OM4-compatible fibre supports standard minimum bend radii but should be secured with cable management to maintain long-term performance.

Recommendations

Use this 20 m QSFP28 AOC for short-reach 100G connections inside racks and between adjacent racks. Keep the cable within manufacturer bend-radius limits, avoid excessive pulling force when routing, and store spare cables in protective packaging to prevent contamination of connector endfaces. For compatibility, confirm that the host ports support QSFP28 AOC modules and 100G Ethernet operation before deployment.
