Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli CBO SFP28 AOC BlueOptics BO272703Q5M 5 m

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28 AOC BlueOptics BO272703Q5M 5 m is a factory-assembled, fixed-length optical link that connects SFP28 ports for 25GbE short-reach applications. The 5-meter AOC integrates optical transceivers and multimode fiber in a single blue-jacketed cable, eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. It is intended for data center and network equipment use where reliable high-speed links between servers, switches and storage devices are required.

Advantages

The BlueOptics SFP28 AOC delivers consistent 25Gbps performance with low latency and reduced signal loss compared with long copper runs. Its plug-and-play design simplifies deployment and reduces installation time, while the integrated transceiver modules reduce component count and inventory complexity. The fixed-length 5 m cable provides predictable insertion loss and physical routing in rack environments, and the durable jacket protects internal fibers from abrasion and bending.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch 25GbE connections in data centers
• Switch-to-switch uplinks within the same rack or adjacent racks
• High-density network environments requiring compact, cable-managed links
• Environments where reducing separate transceivers and patch cords simplifies logistics

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP28 to SFP28 optical active cable
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per channel (supports 25GbE)
• Length: 5 meters fixed
• Connector type: Integrated SFP28 modules at both ends
• Cable type: Active optical cable with multimode optical fiber
• Jacket color: Blue
• Typical use: Short-reach data center links (server-switch, switch-switch)

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the module latches. Ensure both devices are powered and compatible with SFP28 AOC modules. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are needed. Route the 5 m cable through rack cable management to avoid sharp bends and strain on the connectors. Verify link status in device management interfaces and perform network tests to confirm throughput and error rates.

Recommendations

Use the AOC in short-reach scenarios within racks or between adjacent racks; avoid exceeding recommended bend radii and protect connectors from dust when not inserted. Confirm device compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules and follow vendor guidance for supported firmware or module listing to ensure full functionality.
