Network operators often struggle to achieve deterministic, low-latency communication between control systems and access nodes. The Alcatel RTI Real-Time Interface Module solves this by providing a dedicated hardware path for time-critical data exchange, ensuring precise synchronization and rapid response in demanding telecom environments.

Who is it for

This module is built for service providers and enterprises operating Alcatel-Lucent 73xx ISAM/MSAN platforms, such as the 7302 and 7330. It suits engineers who need real-time data acquisition, control plane interfacing, or network synchronization without adding processing overhead to the main system.

Main features

• Dedicated real-time processing unit based on FPGA/ASIC for ultra-low latency under 100 µs
• Two 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports and one RS-232 serial console for flexible connectivity
• Hot-swappable line card design allows replacement without powering down the chassis
• Supports TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, and NTP protocols for seamless integration
• In-band management via SNMP or CLI over Ethernet, plus out-of-band serial console
• Field-upgradable firmware through network or console for future enhancements
• Secure boot and access control lists (ACLs) protect against unauthorized access
• LED indicators for power, link/activity per port, and overall status simplify monitoring
