AOC SFP+-kaapeli BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-10M 10 m uros-uros

The AOC SFP+ Cable BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-10M 10m Male-Male is a 10-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors on both ends designed for 10GBASE-SR applications. The cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end to transmit optical signals over multimode fiber and follows SFP+ MSA electrical, mechanical and functional specifications to ensure physical interoperability with SFP+ ports. It is intended for short-reach high-speed connections in data centre and enterprise network equipment that support SFP+ AOC modules.

Advantages

The cable supports 10 Gbit/s data rates and uses optical transmission to avoid electromagnetic interference, offering low latency and stable throughput for demanding network links. Built to MSA-compliant dimensions and interfaces, it provides plug-and-play installation with no additional patching or connector cleaning required. Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) functionality enables remote monitoring of parameters such as laser bias, output/input power, supply voltage and temperature when the host hardware supports it. The use of high-quality optical and electronic components aims to provide long service life and consistent performance.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, routers and servers with SFP+ ports within racks or across adjacent racks
• Storage systems and SAN links requiring 10G optical connections
• Short-reach data centre links up to 10 metres
• High-density setups where pre-terminated AOC simplifies cable management

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP+ to SFP+ active optical cable
• Length: 10 metres
• Supported data rate: up to 10 Gbit/s
• Transmission medium: multimode fiber with integrated transceivers
• Protocol support: Ethernet and common high-speed applications (10GBASE-SR, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, SDH/SONET where supported)
• Monitoring: Digital Diagnostics (DDM/DOM) compliant with SFF-8472 when supported by host
• Standards: Designed to meet SFP+ AOC MSA electrical/mechanical specifications

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-10M by inserting the SFP+ connectors into the SFP+ ports of the two devices you want to link, ensuring the connectors are fully seated and the latches engage. Verify host devices recognize the AOC and, if required, enable DDM/DOM monitoring in the host management interface to access diagnostic parameters. No additional patch cords are necessary; route the pre-assembled cable to avoid tight bends and protect against sharp edges. Power down is generally not required for hot-pluggable SFP+ modules, but follow your equipment vendor's guidance if uncertain.

Recommendations

Use this 10-metre SFP+ AOC for short-reach optical links inside racks or between adjacent racks where a plug-and-play, low-latency 10G connection is required. Ensure the connected equipment officially supports third-party SFP+ AOCs if you need full DDM/DOM integration, and avoid bending the cable beyond manufacturer-recommended minimum radii to preserve optical performance.
