Aputure Light Control Grid Infinibar 45 PB6:lle — valonsuuntaus-hunajakenno

The Aputure Light Control Grid Infinibar 45 for PB6 is an accessory engineered to narrow and shape the light output of the PB6 Infinibar fixture. It mounts to the front of the Infinibar to control beam spread, reduce stray light and improve directional precision. This beam-shaping grid is suitable for professional environments where controlling spill and maintaining clean edge definition are important, including studio portraiture, product photography and location shoots.

Advantages

The grid provides a well-defined beam cut that reduces soft spill without changing color temperature or significantly reducing central intensity. Its lightweight construction allows quick attachment and removal on location while maintaining stable alignment with the Infinibar. The accessory enhances contrast and control when shaping highlights and falloff, enabling more predictable lighting setups and easier repeatability between shots.

Suitable for

• Studio portrait and headshot photography
• Product and still-life photography
• Controlled lighting on location and sets
• Accent and rim lighting to isolate subjects

Key specifications

• Compatibility: designed for use with the PB6 Infinibar fixture
• Function: beam-shaping grid to narrow beam spread and reduce spill
• Effect on light: increases directional control while preserving color fidelity
• Construction: lightweight, mountable grid that aligns with fixture front
• Typical use: studio and location applications requiring precise spill control

How to use

Attach the grid to the front of the PB6 Infinibar following the fixture’s attachment points so the grid sits flush and aligned. Position the Infinibar and adjust distance from the subject to control beam width and falloff; moving the light closer produces a narrower, more defined beam on the subject, while moving it back yields softer edges. Combine the grid with flags, softboxes or other modifiers as needed to shape light further. Check framing and exposure on camera and make incremental adjustments to angle and distance until the desired edge definition and spill suppression are achieved.

Recommendations

Use the grid when you need crisp edge definition or to prevent light contaminating background or adjacent subjects. For portrait and product work, pair the grid with a diffusion source off-axis if a mix of controlled softness and directionality is required. Handle and mount the grid with care to maintain alignment and avoid deforming the grid cells, which could affect beam quality.
