Compact AS Schwabe 3-way rubber distribution socket blue with folding cover IP44 and hanging eye (model 60057) is a mains 230 V power distribution accessory designed for temporary or fixed installation where splash protection and portability are required. The device houses three grounded outlets within a durable rubber casing, offers an IP44-rated folding cover to protect sockets from splashes, and features a hanging eye for secure suspension in work environments. It is suitable for indoor use and for protected outdoor locations such as covered terraces, workshops and construction sites where limited water exposure may occur.

Advantages

The rubber housing provides mechanical protection and improved grip while resisting oils and grease typically found in workshop environments. The IP44 folding cover shields the sockets from splashes and debris when not in active use and can be closed between connections. Three grounded outlets allow simultaneous connection of multiple tools or appliances without additional adapters. The integrated hanging eye enables safe suspension close to work areas to keep cables off the ground and reduce trip hazards.

How to use

Connect the distribution socket to a properly rated 230 V supply using a compatible mains plug and cable. Mount or suspend the unit using the hanging eye if required, ensuring the attachment point is secure and rated for the load. Insert appliances into the grounded outlets and close the folding cover when sockets are not in use to maintain splash protection. Do not expose the unit to direct water jets or immersion and avoid overloading beyond the rated capacity of the supply circuit.

Recommendations

Inspect the rubber housing and folding cover regularly for damage before use. Use the product only in accordance with local electrical regulations and ensure connected appliances are compatible with 230 V mains. For outdoor use, place the unit in a sheltered position to maintain IP44 protection; do not use in heavy rain or submerged conditions. If the device shows cracks, exposed conductors or persistent moisture inside the sockets, discontinue use and replace.
